The Masterlist of Names For Your Dilute Tortie
If you know anything about me, you know that I have a dilute tortie and I am also genuinely obsessed with her.
To the point that she inspires a lot of the art and products that I make!
Welcome to my website- this is my business where I draw and sell my art on various goods :-) I may be an artist, but I'm also a cat lover!
Please meet ~ Chai ~ my silly little 4 year old dilute tortoiseshell!
We adopted her in January of 2022 when she was just 6 months old! At the time, her name from the shelter was Gigi. And I knew right away that we had to rename her to something else~

Trying to pick out a name for your cat can be deceptively hard. As soon as you lay your eyes on their fuzzy little faces, it's like any name you were considering disappears into the night, like when someone asks you your favorite TV show on the spot.
If you're reading this, I assume you're either considering getting a dilute tortie, have just gotten one, orrr maybe you're trying to come up with character names. Or maybe just reading for funsies. In any case, I have JUST the list for you, full of any name I've thought of in the last 3 years that fits a dilute tortie! Coming up with funny or cute names we "should" have named her is practically a past time of mine at this point.
So many cat name lists out there either don't match the visual of the cats coat at ALL (which a name doesn't have to, but it's definitely my preference at least in the inital thinking stage) OR they're a bunch of the most obvious, standard, cookie cutter names. Like "rusty" for an orange cat LOL. That will NOT be the case (...for the most part) on this one. Would you name a tuxedo "Oreo Mcflurry"? If so you're in the right place
I've split this list into four parts (feminine/masculine/androgynous/beyond gender) for ease of sorting. Although your tortie is genetically almost certainly a female, you can name them however you please. If you disagree about my categorization of a certain name, that's a-okay, it's mostly a loose structure- some names could definitely fall into more than one.
